Description:  Dataset contains mortality data on oak seedlings and sprouts 
              surveyed in 1995, 1996, and 1997, and their corresponding height, 
              diameter, and cover.

Label Exp:             Cedar Creek experiment number.
Label Plot:            E133 plot number
Label Transect:        Transect within plot.  Located between original 50 m 
                       transects.
Label Seedling:        Tag number on seedling.  Multiple stems in a clump were 
                       identified using the original tag number plus letters.
Label 1996 Mortality:  Status of seedling/sprout in 1996.
Label 1996 Browse:     Indicates whether the seedling was browsed in 1996.
Label 1997 Mortality:  Status of seedling/sprout in 1997.
Label Species:         Seedling/sprout species, either pin or bur oak.
Label Type:            Seedling or sprout.
Label Location:        Location from beginning of transect (m).  For a clump, 
                       the center is used as the distance for all stems in the 
                       clump.
Label Height:          Height of seedling/sprout in 1995 (mm).
Label Diameter:        Diameter of seedling/sprout in 1995 (mm).
Label Tree Cover:      Tree cover over the seedling/sprout, either under, on the
                       edge, or in the open.
Label Cover Type:      Denotes whether canopy was created by a single tree or 
                       multiple stems.
Label Tree Species:    Denotes overstory species, either pin oak, bur oak, or 
                       mixed.
