Dark-winged Fungus Gnats (137 NA spp) are collected with fair frequency in old field sweeps, but no attempt has been made to differentiate them. The University of Minnesota collection consists of four drawers of undetermined material. New York reports xx species. Common genera are: Lycoriella, Bradysia, and Pnyxia. As the common name suggests, larvae feed on fungi.
